Hi, I am Deepali and I pour out my artsy heart here! I have always dabbled in some last page doodling throughout my school and university days-sketching moustaches on pictures, adding bindis (forehead dots) etc. Owing to this habit, I have had my share of scoldings as well. I despised art classes where the teachers were too adamant about colouring within the lines. And when it comes to my handwriting, I was always showered with compliments by my family and friends, so that was definitely an encouragement. I love taking notes using pen and paper rather than hitting keys on the laptop. (I'll leave the keyboard ASMR discussion for some other time!)

Pretty words were intriguing and delightful to me, so I decided to explore the world of calligraphy and lettering. Initially, there were many hiccups-I was confused regarding the supplies, drills, practice, guidesheets etc. However, slow and steady I figured out, thanks to the Type and Calli community. This goes without saying that I continue to be a work in progress.

Sharing my artwork was a bit intimidating to begin with, there was a lot of overthinking and self-doubt involved. But eventually, I set my heart on the infinite and decided to go ahead. Through this platform, I'd like to reach out to calligraphy/lettering beginners and enthusiasts, and I want to offer my experience to help others. I enjoy curating and making all things bright and beautiful for you, so that this becomes your go to space for gift ideas too. I will be offering workshops and sessions, discussing techniques, giving out hack and tips, information about supplies and stationery etc.  I am a stationery and all-things-cute enthusiast, but at the same time I'll help you with tips that cut costs and do away with the misconception that calligraphy is an expensive hobby and artform. Another misconception should be ruled out that you need to have a beautiful handwriting to excel at calligraphy/lettering/type.

I am always looking out for opportunities to translate my everyday experiences into artistic expressions. Oh, and if you're wondering what art school or design education I undertook, let me surprise you a little. I am in academics, currently enrolled in a PhD program in Sociology. Perhaps, it is the joy of writing and collecting stationery that I haven't stopped studying!

I hope my work delights you.
